Joelie illustrates what fascinates her. It's ever changing, emotive, feminine and evocative. It can be playful with deeper meaning, or inspired by a song lyric or experience.
She has been creating illustrations and exhibiting visual arts for years and it's a place where her soul is deeply replenished and fed.
Her exhibition “Once Upon An Intrigue” won Fringe awards in the Visual Artist category. She incorporates storytelling into her art work seamlessly.

Music
Joelie is a queer, dynamic multi-instrumentalist and composer whose music is defined by evocative storytelling, vulnerability and rich, intricate soundscapes. Her songs weave personal experiences, playful flippancies, and reflections into compelling and relatable narratives. She’s not afraid to ‘go there’ and sweeps you up with her along the way.
Music was Joelie’s first language. She started singing before she could talk, picked up the violin at three, then added in piano, harp, bowed psaltry, zither, bagpipes and eventually guitar. Her songs have all the layers, harmonies and complexities with the simplicity of raw, exposing narrative.
