I've been drawing forever and ever. One day I'll post some pics of drawings I did as a kid.... they're pretty funny, and they all had an extremely detailed backstory too. A vivid imagination kept me as awake as a kid as it does now, but wow! did it produce some in-depth story-lines and emotive images.
While I draw from the heart, I also re-create photos/people in my whimsical style with lines and hints of colour and this is something I'm asked to do more and more, especially in relation to wedding/event illustrations and family portrait keepsakes.
Personalised illustrations can be used for all sorts of aspects of events, such as: invitations, save-the-dates, menus, RSVP cards, reception cards, programmes, place cards, table numbers, thank you cards, signage, ritual instructions, bridal shower invites, 'will you be my bridesmaid' cards, fingerprint trees, couple illustrations etc...
I've also been asked to make some really special art to help families heal from grief and loss. I feel forever grateful to use my skills in this way.
